Somatoform Disorders - Hypochondria Resources

Somatoform describes patient symptoms that cannot be explained by physical findings or substantiated through medical testing. Since they cannot be explained physically, such symptoms are then assumed to be psychiatric in origin. Five categories of somatoform disorders include: Hypochondriasis, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Pain Disorder, Conversion Disorder, and Somatization Disorder.
